Banners honoring Simi Valley's military personnel could begin to be displayed on city streetlight poles in time for Veterans Day on Nov. 11, a city official said Friday. The City Council unanimously approved the banners program at its meeting last week, sparking applause from a dozen members of two organizations that advocate the honors, Military Families of Ventura County and For The Troops.
